Nell Louise (Rhodd) McCalip

Nell Louise McCalip, age 80, passed away peacefully October 16, 2023 at home surrounded by family. She was born February 5th 1943, to parents Jack and Adeline. She married the love of her life, Raymond Eugene Mccalip on May 27th 1971 who preceded her in death in 2017.

Nell was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them.  She especially loved being a grandma, great grandma, and great great grandma.

Nell was the loving & devoted mother of 10.  She was preceded in death by her two sons Jerry Don Howell and Danny Ray Howell. Nell is survived by Cheryl and James Carper, Tommy and Debbie Howell, Paul Howell, Lula McCalip, Cindy Hasbell, Reacie Bashers, Janell and James Seikel, Jerri and Chuck Hill.  She was grandmother of 21, great grandmother of 38, and great great grandmother of 3.  Nell was beloved sister to Patti and Lindell Souders and second mother to Stephen McInturf, Jerry McInturf and Tricia Casey.

She will be remembered by the way she remembered everyone she met and loved to share her stories about them. She had an infectious laugh, was known for her chicken and homemade noodles, and being constantly supportive and encouraging. She loved collecting porcelain dolls and going to thrift stores every Saturday. All who loved  her will never forget her undying love and care for them.

Nell was very proud of her Native American heritage so her celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 18th at the north reunion hall of the CPN festival grounds beginning at 1pm. Family and friends are welcome.
