Nelda Fern (Moody) Guinn, 79 year-old longtime Saint Louis, Oklahoma resident passed from this life Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born January 24, 1929 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to parents Ophelia Bell (Hunt) Moody and Ellis Moody.rnrnNelda married Emral Guinn on October 5, 1945 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Throughout her life she wore many hats. She worked as a butcher at Safeway grocery store in Shawnee over 20 years. That is when she along with her husband Emral bought their first oilwell. This was the beginning of Guinn Oil Company, which was founded in 1965 and they still own and operate the Company to this day. She has been a devoted wife, mother and granny. She was also a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma.rnrnSurvivors include her husband of 63 years, Emral Guinn of the home in Saint Louis, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law, Wynema ?Winnie? Marshalee (Guinn) and Bill Buley of Saint Louis, Oklahoma; one chosen son, Jr. Williams and his wife Connie of Saint Louis, Oklahoma, (Nelda always jokingly said, ?she wore him home on her boots and Emral just had to get use to him?); one brother and sister-in-law, Stanley Leon Moody and his wife Ina of Shawnee, Oklahoma; two granddaughters and their husbands, Matonna and Mark Haynes and Maleea and TyRay Brock all of Maud, Oklahoma; and three great grandchildren, Emral Layn Haynes, Matraya Erralee Haynes and TyLee Fern Brock; nieces, Airawona ?Roshel? (Moody) Stobel and her husband Stewart of Lakin, Kansas and Christie Kay (Moody) McClaskey and her husband Gary of Maud, Oklahoma; step-grandchildren, Burl Buley and his wife Cathy of Franklin, Tennessee, Randy Kenyon and his wife Kay of Newcastle, Oklahoma and Jerrel Buley and his wife Shalisa of Harrah, Oklahoma; Jr. William?s daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Greg Beverage and their son Jase of Saint Louis, Oklahoma.rnrnNelda was preceded in death by her parents and by one sister Rogean (Moody) Worl, who died December 15, 2007.rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma.
