Nancy Lee Reeves went to a better place on November 26, 2010. Our Nancy was born on February 18, 1953 in Seminole, Oklahoma., to Robert Roland and Sara Lee (Morris) Stidham. Nancy attended Seminole Schools and then went to Wewoka High School her Junior and Senior year where she graduated. Follow that she furthered her education at Seminole Junior College and graduated with an Associates of Arts Degree in May of 1973. Nancy met Darrel Lyn Reeves in 1979 and was married on June 23, 1979 in Ada, Oklahoma. Together they have two children, Justin Roy Reeves of Norman, Oklahoma and Rebecca Lyn Reeves of Seminole, Oklahoma. Nancy and Darrel also have two very precious granddaughters, Jazminn Lee Parish Gurley and Dasie Lyn Gurley. Nancy was very proud of her Indian heritage of the Seminole and Creek tribes. She enjoyed making jewelry that represented her talents showing her love of Indian traditions. Nancy was the very best friend anyone could ever want. Many who knew her will miss her. In addition she was a wonderful wife and mother to Darrel and Justin and Becky. She was the very best Nana to Jazzie and Dasie. Her father Robert Roland Stidham, two brothers Robert Stidham and Danny Stidham, preceded Nancy Lee in death. Her husband Darrel Reeves of Seminole, son Justin Reeves of Norman, Oklahoma and her daughter Becky Reeves of Seminole, Oklahoma, survives her. Also surviving her is her mother Sara Lee Stidham and sister Donna Jean Wiggins both of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, and lastly her biggest fan and best friend Jane Resler. There is a host of other friends who knew her and admired her work and good deeds that will miss her as well. Memorial graveside services will be held, Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Little Cemetery, north of Seminole. Memorial donations may be made to the Integris Foundation Liver Clinic 3030 N.W. Expressway, Suite 1600 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73112 in memory of Nancy Reeves. Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
