Nancy Ellen (Hammons) Mallory, 60, Seminole resident, died Sunday, December 3, 2017 in Seminole. Nancy was born January 14, 1957 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Oliver Baxter Hammons and Sharlene (Cox) Hammons. Nancy grew up in Seminole and attended Seminole Public Schools and graduated from Seminole High School in 1975, where she was active in all student activities and was a twirler in the high school band. Nancy attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated from OU in 1979 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education. While at OU she was in the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and was co-director of the Sooner Scandals and was an OU Alumni member. Nancy was also a member of Chapter CL PEO. Nancy taught special education for 30 years at Winding Creek Elementary in Moore, Oklahoma, where she was named “Teacher of the Year”. She loved her family and was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved shopping and being with her grandchildren and family. She married Billy George Mallory on May 23, 1980 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Nancy is survived by her husband Billy Mallory of Seminole, Oklahoma, her mother, Sharlene Hammons of Seminole, Oklahoma, her son, Justin Blake Mallory and his wife Nicole Mallory of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and her daughter Brooke Mallory Jackson of Warr Acres, Oklahoma, sisters Barbara Kernke and her husband Joe of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Celia Hammons of Seminole, Oklahoma, her grandchildren Kaylin Mallory, Corey Mallory, Harley Mallory, Mallory Jackson, Maycee Jackson, Merrick Jackson and Drue Mallory, and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her father Baxter Hammons, her sister Kay Lambert, grandparents; Charles and Ellen Cox and Sam and Nan Hammons. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 8, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church at 910 West Wrangler Blvd. in Seminole, Oklahoma with Pastor Mark Watson officiating. There will a viewing on Tuesday and Wednesday for Nancy at Swearingen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial donations be made to Faith 7 Activity Center, 301 S.
