Mona Dixon

Mona Colleen Dixon, 54, Seminole resident, died Thursday, July 23, 2015 in Seminole. Mona was born August 4, 1960 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Monroe and Donna (Adams) Lee.  Mona grew up in Pottawatomie County and in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Mona loved being with her family, crocheting dolls and she loved to Karaoke and hosted it on several occasions. She was raised in the Assembly of God Church. Mona was a nutrition secretary at Seminole Public Schools.   Mona met her husband Terry Dixon in North Little Rock, Arkansas where they were married on July 12, 1975. Mona is survived  by her husband Terry Dixon of the home in Seminole, Oklahoma, three daughters, Donna Dixon and Angela Dixon, both of Seminole, Oklahoma and Terri Stillwell of Wewoka, Oklahoma, her sister Georgia Herron and her husband Tommy of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, her brother Johnny Ray Sipes and his wife Faye of Texas , Sister-in-law Phyllis Lee of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, her grandchildren Hunter Dixon of the Home, Kennedy Curry, Elijah Maher, Kaylee Wilkerson, Kodee Wilkerson, Kayzee Wilkerson, Anna Bella Ingram and Morgan Hill and several other very close family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two granddaughters Jude Wood and Koree Wilkerson. Casket bearers will be Troy Lee, Phillip Cartwright, Bubba Hoskins, Roger Hoskins, Sandy Hoskins and Diane Gross. Honorary Casket Bearer will be Ron Hawkins. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Vamoosa Cemetery south of Seminole. Gail Resinger will officiate the services. There will be a family visitation Monday, July 27, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Swearingen Funeral Home.
