Mirt (O'Neal) Cole, longtime Asher area resident, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at Unity North Health Center in Shawnee at the age of 95.rnrnShe was born June 11, 1912 in Stilwell, OK to John and Lucinda (Cumpey) O'Neal.rnrnMirt married Lark Andrew Cole on April 7, 1934 in Stilwell and he preceded her in death on March 20, 1978.rnrnShe was a loving homemaker and a longtime member of Asher Assembly of God.rnrnMirt is survived by two daughters, Beulah Harvey & her husband Dewey of Asher and Ellen Rollings of Asher; rnthree sons, Bob Cole & his wife Loretta of Asher, Don Cole & his wife Hilda of Heavener, OK and Wayne Cole and his wife Judy of Shawnee;rnone sister, Helen Baird of Asher;rnone brother, Leroy O'Neal of Stratford;rntwo nieces, Jeanie Williams & her husband Steve of Choctaw and Susie Bounds of Konawa;rn19 grandchildren; rn16 great-grandchildren; rnseveral great-great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.rnrnShe was also preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Oscar Rollings; two sisters and three brothers. rnrnFuneral servicces will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Asher with Rev. Lester Robbins officiating.rnrnServing as casket bearers will be Jackie Cole, Tracy Harvey, Tim Cole, Byron Cole, Steve Williams and Paul Cole. Honorary bearers will be Phillip Buckhalter and Wayne Snodgrass.rnrnBurial will follow at Vista Cemetery.rnrnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.
