Minnie Pearl (Floyd) Mullins, age 89 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 7th at the First Baptist Church in Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Philip Mullins and Jim McMillan will officiate. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Pallbearers are her grandsons and honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters. Minnie was born on July 18, 1924 in Punkin Center, Oklahoma to Robert E. Floyd and Nola Gertrude (Wilcoxson) Floyd. She married Demoy E. Mullins, and worked as a custodian for the Konawa Schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and she enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She is survived by three sons, Michael Demoy Mullins and wife, Carolyn of Prescott, Arkansas, Martin Lee Mullins and wife, Lisa of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Philip Mullins and wife, Janet of Konawa, Oklahoma; two brothers, James Floyd of Thomas, Oklahoma and Joe Floyd of Marlow, Oklahoma; two sisters, Karleen West of Konawa and Martha Young of Amber, Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Nola Floyd; her husband, Demoy E. Mullins; two daughters, Pam Borel and Patricia Collier; one infant son; three brothers, Lewis, Jack, and Marshall Floyd; and two sisters, Kathleen Williams and Louise Verner.
