Minnie Lee Harjo, 95 Minnie Lee Harjo former Seminole county resident, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 95. Minnie was born July 25, 1921 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to parents, John Tiger and Betty (Lena) Tiger. After graduating from high school she attended Business College. Minnie was a brazier for Westinghouse Electric Manufacturing Company in Cleveland, Ohio from which she retired after 12 years of employment. She was a member of the Wewoka Indian Baptist Church. Minnie enjoyed helping those in need, watching her grandchildren play sports, Thunder basketball, attending fashion shows, traveling with grandchildren, enjoyed her cousins and going places with them, loved sewing, loved her friends and helping people with school presentations where she would do all the research for the information for the project. Minnie is survived by two daughters, Patricia Cantley and her husband Mike of Newcastle, Oklahoma, Beverly Davis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, John Tiger and Betty Lena Tiger Fixico; two daughters, MaJuana June Harjo, Richidean (Deana) Miranda and her grandmother, Martha Lena. There will be a visitation held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2016 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Eddie Lindsay officiating and burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Wewoka, Oklahoma. Serving as casket bearers are: Brian Frejo, Connie Frejo, Marcus Frejo, Grant Davis, Grady Harjo and Tony Cruz. Honorary casket bearers are: Red Hicks, Richard Cruz, Mike Cantley, Johnny Factor and Marcus Vann. Funeral directions are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
