Minnie Beavers, 93 Minnie Beavers, long time Seminole county resident, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, January 19, 2013 in Seminole, Oklahoma at the age of 93. Minnie was born on May 1, 1919 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to parents, Dempsy Sutton and Rosa (Cryus) Sutton. She attended Nobletown School and at an early age she attended Spring Creek Baptist Church of Nobletown, Oklahoma. Minnie met Starling Beavers and in 1936 they were united in marriage in Wewoka, Oklahoma. They moved to California and upon their return to Oklahoma Minnie worked in the medical field as a nurse’s assistant. In 1985, after 24 years, she retired from Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Minnie leaves loving memories to one son, James Cleo Beavers of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 17 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 64 great great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, Dempsy and Rosa Sutton, husband, Starling Beavers who passed away on April 1, 1999, four brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter, one great granddaughter, three sons and one daughter. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with her grandson Pastor Ralph Beavers officiating. Burial will take place at Westwood Cemetery, Wewoka, Oklahoma. Funeral service under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
