Minnie Lou Andrison

Minnie Louise (McDoniel) Andrison was born April 4, 1929 in Marianna, Arkansas to Minnie G. and M.W. “Mac” McDoniel.  She passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 88. Minnie lived most of her life in Seminole, Oklahoma.  She was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma holding both bachelors and master’s degrees in education.  She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  She taught both as an elementary classroom teacher and as a reading specialist.  Minnie retired from Seminole Public Schools in the early 2000’s. On January 23, 1953 Minnie married Orville Lee “Andy” Andrison in Ada, Oklahoma.  Sadly he preceded her in death on April 7, 2004 after 51 years of marriage. Minnie was a very dedicated mother, daughter, sister and friend.  She was also a member of the Seminole Church of Christ. Minnie is survived by her two sons; Jim Andrison and his wife Sandy of Haskell, Oklahoma and Mark Andrison and his wife Chedra of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; one brother, Dr. Bill McDoniel and his wife Margie of Chickasha, Oklahoma; two nephews and a host of other family and dear friends. Minnie is preceded in death by her parents Minnie G. and M.W. “Mac” McDoniel, by her husband “Andy” Andrison and by one niece. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2017 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole, Oklahoma with Arpoika Daniels officiating the service. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
