Minetta “Gail” Votaw, age 56 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Solara Hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma. A wake services is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 31st at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, and funeral services are schedule for 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 1st also at the Chapel. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Johnny Campbell will officiate. Pallbearers are R.J. Carbitcher, Mack Ladd, Manual Lena, and Mark Booth. Honorary pallbearers are Armetta Tiger, Martha MacPalmer, Josephine Hulsey, Pauline Doyle, Sally Frazier, and Debbie Flanery. Gail was born on December 9, 1953 at Wewoka, Oklahoma to Robert and Minnie Harjo. She was a member of the Baptist Church, and she enjoyed dancing, walking, and listening to gospel music. Gail also loved children and had a number of nieces and nephews who loved her very much. Gail attended Vamoosa school, Glenwood in Ada, Riverside in Oklahoma City, and Konawa school. Her close friend was Teresa Mefford. She was baptized on May 23, 1976 by Ed Bray of Cross Timbers Church. She is survived by her mother, Minnie Harjo of the home, and one brother, Bob R.
