Mildred Lou Stillwell

Mildred Lou (Ransom) Stillwell, 82 year old longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life Thursday, February 23, 2017 in Midwest City, Oklahoma.  She was born July 10, 1934 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to parents Roosevelt Ransom and Rosa Lee (Grant) Ransom. Mildred was a homemaker and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Seminole. Mildred married Herman Stillwell in May of 1957 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Mildred is survived by two sons, Larry Stillwell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Freddie Stillwell of Seminole, Oklahoma; three daughters, Darlene Stillwell of Seminole, Oklahoma, Norma Jean Lewis of Georgia, Loretta Lewis of Georgia; four sisters, Maggie Horton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Naomi Gannon of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Beverly Boyd of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Linda Lewis of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents Roosevelt and Rosa Lee Ransom, by her husband Herman Stillwell, by one daughter, Yolanda Jackson Stillwell, by two sisters, Essie May Franklin, Irene Gail Willis, by five brothers, Eddie Ransom, Don Ransom, Leman Ransom, Leroy Ransom and by James Allen Stillwell. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.  Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma.  Rev. Larry Payne will officiate the service. Casket Bearers will be: Kenneth Earl Cruthers III, Kenneth Earl Cruthers Sr., Lamrio Stillwell, Percy Stillwell, Don Hytche, and Rashad Hendley.
