Mike Rose, 69, lifelong Seminole resident died Thursday, June 8, 2017 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Mike was born April 15, 1948 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Van Ben Clark Rose and Emma Mae (Fick) Rose. Mike attended Seminole Public Schools and graduated from Seminole High School in 1966. After high school Mike attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree. After college, Mike coached tennis and basketball at Seminole High School for 5 years. Mike then got into the car business and retired as a co-owner of Seminole Ford. Mike was a proud OU alum, he loved and followed all of The University of Oklahoma’s sports programs. He loved to listen to the Sports Animal on the radio, he also loved playing golf. Mike married Laura Sue (Binkley) Rose on June 3, 1972 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Mike is survived by his wife Laura Rose, two sons Michael Rose and Matthew Rose and his wife Julie, his Mother Emma Rose, one brother Curtis Rose and his wife Nancy, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Elaine Binkley and Obbie Harvey, three grandchildren Emily, Cash and Blair and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his father Van Rose and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Bob and Vi Binkley. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday June 12, 2017 at the Immanuel Fellowship Church in Seminole, Oklahoma, with Pastor Tim Tate officiating. Cremation and memorial arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.
