Mike Moore

James Michael “Mike” Moore, 67 year old Seminole, Oklahoma resident passed from this life on Monday, January 30, 2018 at his home in Seminole.  He was born May 14, 1950 in Alva, Oklahoma to parents Beverly Ann (Wheelock) Moore and James Frank Moore. Mike graduated from Shamrock High School in Shamrock, Texas.  He went on to play football at Oklahoma State University, then he completed his education at Louisiana Tech. Mike worked for Sandridge Oil and Gas Company where he was a trucking supervisor. On May 22, 1986 Mike married Lynn Robertson in Seminole, Oklahoma. Mike is survived by his wife, Lynn Moore of the home; three sons, Chad Moore and his wife Kim of Edmond, Oklahoma, Eric Moore and his wife Rachel of Thornton, Colorado, Jason Lytle and his wife Renee of Elgin, Oklahoma; two brothers, Chris Moore of Park City, Kansas, Jeff Moore of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Ann Swinson and her husband Randy of Shawnee, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Dylan Moore, AJ Moore, Ragan Moore, Rylie Lytle, Ashlynd Lytle, Axel Lytle; and a host of other family and dear friends. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Beverly Moore, by one sister, Mary Moore and by one granddaughter, Shelby Lytle. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.  Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.  Rev. Brandon Kalicki will officiate the service. Mike’s grandchildren will serve as Honorary Casket Bearers. The family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Memory of Mike Moore. Funeral services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
