Mike Coy

Longtime Shawnee resident, Michael Ray Coy, 51, passed peacefully from this life October 21, 2009. He was born May 13, 1958 in Tarrant County, Texas to Joe and Jewell Geneva Coy, who preceded him in death. Mike attended Grove Elementary School and Shawnee High School. Mike spent his career as an auto, truck and heavy equipment mechanic. He also worked as a plumber, carpenter, lawn care professional and maintenance man. He had a lifelong passion for owning, modifying and driving hi-performance cars, primarily Ford Mustangs. Mike would stop to help a stranger, put his life on hold to help a friend, believed a days pay deserved an honest day of work, and loved playing with children and pets.  He is survived by his significant other, Angie and two children of the home, three stepsons, their children and many friends he considered his family.  He was greatly loved and will be terribly missed. We love you, man. Services will be held 2:00PM, Tuesday, October 27 at Little Cemetery.
