Michael Collins Starns

Michael Collins Starns, age 59 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday morning, July 20, 2011 at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma.  A private family service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22nd at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma.  Burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery, and Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate.  Public viewing for family and friends to visit and to sign the registry book is scheduled for Thursday at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Michael was born on June 25, 1952 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to William Frank Starns, Sr. and Imogene (Collins) Starns.  Michael graduated from Pawhuska High School in 1970, and he graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma.  He worked as a Tax Preparation Accountant in the Konawa area.  Michael loved to ride motorcycles, and he loved to travel. He is survived by his mother, Imogene Starns of Ada, Oklahoma; one brother, Frank Starns and wife, Jerri of Ada; one nephew, Nichlous Ryan Starns and wife, Amy of Gainesville, Texas; one great niece, Bella Starns of Gainesville, Texas, several aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins.
