Michael Kevin Shirley, 53, longtime Seminole resident passed away , Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the O.U. Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, He is with his Lord. Michael was born July 12, 1961 in Placerville, California to Byron R. Shirley and Loretta A. ( Curnett) Shirley. Michael worked for many years with D & D Construction in Colorado, pulling Fiber Optic Lines. He also worked for Goff, Inc. in Seminole, Oklahoma for the past 9 years in the maintenance department. He was considered a “Jack of all trades”. He always said “don’t ever say it can’t be done, nothing is impossible”. Michael is survived by his wife, Diana Shirley of the home in Seminole, Oklahoma his grandchildren Serinady and Blaiden, of the home, that he was raising, step-daughter, Jackie Shelton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and step-son,  Kyle Shelton of Wewoka, Oklahoma. His mother and step father, Loretta A. Ryan and Jackie D. Ryan of Seminole, Oklahoma, his brother Ray C. Reed of Craig, Colorado and Sister Raylene C. Reed-Buckley of Auburn, Washington, and by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Michael was preceded in death by his father and maternal and paternal grandparents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Swearingen Funeral Home. A celebration of life memorial services will be planned in the near future.
