Michael Don "Mike" Roberts

Michael “Mike” Don Roberts, age 45 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2011, while serving in the line of duty as the Warrant Team Leader of the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office. Funeral services are schedule for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of St. Louis under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Glenn Peck, pastor will officiate.  Pallbearers are Chad Pope, Dan Columbus, Ernest Sego, Jeff Jaroszewicz, David Childers, Seth McDonell, Mike Mallinson, Al Wysocki, and Tom Cartwright. Mike was born on October 29, 1965 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jessie Don Roberts and Anna Sue (Ford) Roberts.  He graduated from Dale High School and married Reinee Kay Brookover in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on October 5, 2007.  He was the Ranch Manager for Wing-N-On Cattle Company and Roberts Family Ranches.  Mike was also a Reserve Deputy for the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office, and a member of the First Baptist Church in St. Louis. He is survived by his parents, Jessie Don and Anna Sue Roberts; his wife, Reinee Kay Roberts of the home; five daughters, Ashley Dawn Ward of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Cassie Michelle Perez of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Kashlynn Belle, Kodie Dakota, and Kate Holliday, all of Konawa; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bradley K. and Angela Roberts of St. Louis, Oklahoma and Jeffrey D. and Laurel Roberts of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one sister and brother-in-law, Margaret Ann and Willie Mocabee of St. Louis; five grandchildren, Pyper Ward, Raven Ward, Pandora Ward, Adriana Perez, and Angel Perez; nieces and nephews, Jimmy Roberts, Michael Roberts, Melissa Lapatch, Kristy Roberts, Brandy Roberts, Emily Mocabee, Anna Mocabee-Wells, Noah Roberts, and Lily Roberts. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Opal Dodson.
