Michael Dean “Mike” Mendinghall, 52, longtime Seminole resident, died Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Michael was born February 23, 1965 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Ivan Ray Mendinghall and Betty Jean Howell. Mike grew up in Seminole and attended Seminole Schools. Mike was a roofing installer for Mason Construction Company in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Mike loved to fish and to hunt, make all the casinos, loved watching western shows and collecting old coins. Mike is survived by his mother, Betty Jean Mason of Seminole, Oklahoma, one son Nathaniel Mendinghall, of Bowlegs, Oklahoma; his brothers Jerry L. Mason and his wife April of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Steve Mendinghall and Scott Mendinghall, both of Seminole, Oklahoma, sister Vicki Brawdy Osborn, aunt Shirley Deatherage of Shawnee, Oklahoma, uncle Johnnie Mendinghall of Seminole, Oklahoma, his step-sister Tina Marie Moore of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and his special friend, Teresa Hausle, of Seminole, Oklahoma, and several nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father that raised him, George Wayne Mason, his biological father Ivan Ray Mendinghall, his uncle William E. Howell, his aunt, Naomi Kaye Howell and his grandmothers Margaret Smith and Opal Mason. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M, Friday, September 22, 2017 at Little Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Nance officiating. Casket Bearers will be William Dub Howell, Jimmy Deatherage, Jr., Justin Horton, C T Johnson, Scott Mendinghall, Terry Hayes and Jason Trammell. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
