Michael Krag “Opie” Daniels, 57 Michael Krag “Opie” Daniels, long time Maud, Oklahoma resident, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 57. Opie was born May 27, 1956 in California to parents, Willard and Hope Daniels. He moved to Seminole county 33 years ago and worked in the pipe line construction and for the City of Maud, Oklahoma. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Konawa, Oklahoma. Opie is survived by wife of 33 years, Linda Mendoza Daniels, one son, Raymon Mendoza and his wife, Samantha of Stonewall, Oklahoma, two daughters, Tiffany Hale and her husband, Larry of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Kelly Daniels of Utah, three sisters, Carolyn Kilpatrick of Missouri, Evelyn Young of West Covina, California and Susie Daniles of Palm Springs California and six grandchildren, Ethan Michael Daniels, Tyler Michael Daniels, Michael Blaine Mendoza, Colin Ray Mendoza, Corgan Gavin Tiger and Madden Marie Billie. Opie was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Glenn Daniels and one sister Nancy Grimes. A Rosary service will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a Memorial Mass being held 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2013 with Father Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B. officiating.
