Meshell LaNay Williams

Meshell LaNay (Welliver) Williams, 42 year old lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She was born November 1, 1974 in Okarche, Oklahoma to parents Richard Thomas Welliver and Bonnie Charlene (Allen) Welliver. Meshell grew up in Seminole and attended Seminole Public Schools.  She later worked for Willis Quick Stop on Harvey Road and Hwy. 270 in Seminole. Meshell was baptized into the Church of Christ at a young age. On July 17, 2007 Meshell married Ricky Scott Williams in Seminole, Oklahoma. Survivors include her husband Ricky Williams of the home, one son Michael Swisher of Seminole, Oklahoma, one daughter Marissia Swisher of Seminole, Oklahoma, mother Bonnie Charlene Welliver of Seminole, Oklahoma, three brothers Frankie Joe Allen of Seminole, Oklahoma, Allen Southern of Seminole, Oklahoma, Jerry Holland Jr. of Riverton, Utah, five sisters, Mary Flowers of Florida, Mindy Smith of Enid, Oklahoma, Carmen Bell of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Tammy Barber of West Jordan, Utah, Cheryl Griffis of Florence, Alabama, “Aunt Jeanie” and Uncle Jerry Holland of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, "Grandma Mandy" Williams of Seminole, Oklahoma, and a host of other family and dear friends. Meshell was preceded in death by her father, Richard Thomas Welliver, by her maternal grandparents Nettie and Clyde Allen, and by her paternal grandparents Mary and Frank Welliver. A wake service is scheduled for Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2017 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole.  Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole.
