Melony Destiny Harjo

Melony Destiny Harjo, infant daughter of Melissa Holahta and Vincent Mike Harjo passed from this life on Friday, April 24, 2015 at OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Survivors include Melony’s parents, Melissa Holahta and Vincent Mike Harjo of Seminole, Oklahoma; maternal grandmother, Marilyn Moore of Seminole, Oklahoma; three sisters, Maliyah Harjo of Seminole, Oklahoma, Raven Coker and Desiree Harjo both of Shawnee, Oklahoma; a host of other family and family friends. Melony was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents and by her maternal grandfather, Joe Holahta. A wake service will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. The body will be taken to Sand Creek Indian Church, Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 4:00 p.m., for a wake service that evening at the Church at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 4, 2015 at Sand Creek Indian Church with Houston Tiger officiating the service.  Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma.
