Mayola L. Keesee was born on August 15, 1939 to Henry and Dealthree Keesee. Mayola earned her education in Oklahoma's New Lima School System, graduating from Douglas High School in 1958. Growing up she shared her special childhood moments with her three brothers William, Marvin and Charles as well as her sister Irma Jean. Mayola moved to Baltimore in pursuit of a career and began working as a Nurse's Aide at Lutheran Hospital until an unforeseen accident forced her to retire after 20 years of dedicated service. During her time here with us, Mayola was a pleasure to know and love. "Nana" was the nickname her eldest grandson named her and over time it was the name that the immediate family began to call her. She enjoyed watching sports but her favorites were football and basketball and her favorite pastime was talking on the phone to all of her friends and family. Mayola leaves to cherish her memories: her two brothers William and Marvin Keesee, her three daughters Sheila, Leslie and Alachiae, her grandchildren Landon, Christopher, Joseph and Amari as well as her many nieces, nephews and host of other family members. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Lima Cemetery, east of Seminole, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma. Funeral Information: June 2, 2018, 11:00 AM Graveside Service at Lima Cemetery located at East of Seminole, Lima, OK
