Maynard Price Jackson, 82, of Choctaw, Oklahoma died, Sunday, May 25, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Maynard was born July 7, 1931 in Roff, Oklahoma to Jessie Ann (Ridens) and Guy Dewey Jackson. Maynard served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army as a sergeant. He work as a maintenance mechanic for Braums Company in Oklahoma City and Tuttle area for over 30 years. He moved to the Choctaw area in 1978 from California. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching football. Maynard is survived by his wife Barbara Jackson of Choctaw, Oklahoma, his son and daughter-in-law Michael Price And Caroline Jackson of Seattle, Washington, three sisters Francis Unruh and Faye Huskins both of Earlsboro, Oklahoma and Treba Colen of Shawnee, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Elizabeth Douhuit, a brother Ollis Jackson and two sisters Naomi Hall and Freda Jackson. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, Mary 29, 2014 at the Highway Baptist Church north of Seminole on Highway 99, with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at Kolb Cemetery in Spencer, Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
