Maxine Lozier

March 10, 1927 — July 25, 2013

Maxine Lozier, 86, longtime Seminole County resident, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, July 25, 2013 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Maxine was born March 10, 1927 in Camden, Missouri to parents Elmont Owen Conner and Susie Ann (Jeffries) Conner. Maxine was a member of the Harvey Road Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma. She retired from Blue Bell (now Wrangler) after many years of service in the pattern and sewing department. She loved to read, crochet, dance, bowling and enjoyed many years at the Senior Citizens Center. Her biggest love was her family and friends. She attended schools at Butner and graduated from New Lima High School. Maxine married Jack Burton Lozier, on December 23, 1946; he preceded her in death on October 28, 1991. She is survived by three sons; William “Bill” Lozier, James B. Lozier and his wife Juanita and Randy Lozier all of Seminole, Oklahoma; three special nieces she called her “ girls” Tina Butner and her husband Rick Butner of Wewoka, Oklahoma, Diane Wilson of the home and Kelly Huff and her husband Steve of Holdenville, Oklahoma, one sister, Janet Hill and husband, Bob, of Baltimore Maryland, two brothers, Willard Conner of Seminole and Millard Conner and his wife Betty Conner of Baltimore, Maryland. Maxine is also survived by her grandchildren; Leslie Lozier of Seminole, Oklahoma, Jeremiah Lozier and Shannon of Seminole, Oklahoma, Matt Lozier and Candy of Seminole, Oklahoma, Johnathan Lozier of Washington, D.C., Laci Regaspi and Eric of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, along with several nieces and nephews and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, her twin sister Lois Dean Conner, three brothers Roy, Bob and Jack Conner and two grandchildren; Michelle Lozier and Jason Lozier. Services are planned for 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Casket bearers will be Matt Lozier, John Lozier, Jeremiah Lozier,Seth Lozier, Jeb Rollins, Josh Rollins and Kelly Huff. Honorary Bearers will be Jerry Conner, Miillard Conner, Willard Conner, Bob Hill and Russ Conner. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Seminole Heritage House, Seminole, Oklahoma. Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma is in charge of arrangements.
