Mattie Ella Johnson

Mattie Ella Johnson, 79, Prague resident died, Monday, September 19, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born July 24, 1932 in Tipton, Oklahoma to Lindley and Leslie (Bruton) Keeney. Mattie lived in California until 1974 when she moved back to Oklahoma. She married Charles Dean Johnson on November 14, 1980 in Gainesville, Texas and he survives her of the home in Prague. She was also a member of the Forest Baptist Church in Chandler, Oklahoma. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband Dean Johnson of the home, one son David McBay of Shawnee, Oklahoma, a sister Nita Overby of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and her grandchildren Nicole Speaks, Chris McBay and Catie McBay and three great-grandchildren Billie Speaks, IV., Courtney Speaks and Easton McBay. She was preceded in death by a daughter Debbi Wheless in September 1998, two brothers, one sister, and her parents. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with pastor Jeff Bruton officiating. Burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma. Family request that donations be made in Mrs. Johnson’s memory to: Forrest Baptist Church P.O.
