Matthew David Kuestersteffen, age 63 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012 at his home. A Wake service is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 7th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 8th at the church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Fr. Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B. will officiate. Pallbearers are Bobby Kuestersteffen, Leo Kuestersteffen, Tony Kuestersteffen, Zeb Kuestersteffen, Darrell Kuestersteffen, and Carl Capps. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Hendrix, Jerry McCraw, Bob Harrison, Homer Downey, Maurice Green, and Jeremy Green. Matthew was born on April 15, 1949 in Konawa to Benedict Kuestersteffen and Catherine (Green) Kuestersteffen. He graduated with an Associates degree from Okmulgee Technology Center and he served in the Army. Matthew worked as an auto mechanic, and he also worked in the oilfield industry. He is survived by one son, Stephen Kuestersteffen of Mary Ester, Florida; one daughter, Lori Sharp and husband, Michael of Konawa; three brothers, Bobby Kuestersteffen and wife, Rena of Marshfield, Missouri, Leo Kuestersteffen and wife, Debbie of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, and Tony Kuestersteffen and wife, Judy of Konawa; three sisters, Pat Shank and husband, Ed of Moore, Oklahoma, Kay Harrison and husband, Bob of Konawa, and Ann Payne and husband, Gary of Sulphur, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren, Kyler and Kaden Sharp. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benedict and Catherine Kuestersteffen; two brothers, Jody Kuestersteffen and Chris Kuestersteffen Green; and one sister, Theresa Patterson.
