Mary LaFern (Khoury) Wood, longtime Konawa area resident, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Seminole Estates Nursing Home in Seminole at the age of 81.rnrnShe was born January 27, 1927 in Davenport, OK to Maron K. Khoury & Thelma B. (Lozer) Khoury.rnrnShe married William "Roy" Wood on January 26, 1947 at Sacred Heart, west of Konawa. He preceded her in death on October 15, 1971.rnrnMary was a loving homemaker and a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.rnrnShe was also a member of the Sacred Heart Alter Society and the Konawa American Legion Auxiliary.rnrnShe is survived by two sons & daughters-in-law, Richard & Joyce Wood and David & Debbie Wood, all of Konawa;rnone brother & sister-in-law, Daniel D. & Mildred Khoury of Konawa;rnone sister, Patricia Musser of Ft. Worth, TX;rngrandchildren, Brandon & Donna Wood, Deanna Wood & Frances Michael Stackenwalt and Tiffany & Troy Dame;rnthree great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.rnShe was also preceded in death by her parents, Maron & Thelma Khoury and one son, Gregory Maron Wood.rnrnA Rosary will be held onrnThursday, March 6, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa.rnrnA Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Matthew Brown, O.S.B. officiating.rnrnInterment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery with services under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.
