Mary Viola “Ola” (Marx) Williams, 92 year old longtime Maud, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born August 3, 1923 in Harjo, Oklahoma to parents Benny Carl Marx and Viola (Johnson) Marx. Ola had worked for several cafes in Maud and had also worked for nursing homes in the area. Her main love was caring for children in her home. Ola was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who loved her family with everything she had. She was also a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Maud. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Monty Ray Jordan and his wife Hazel Jordan of Maud, Oklahoma; two daughters and a son-in-law, Bonnie Joy Demings of Seminole, Oklahoma, Sammie Earlene Anderson and her husband Luther Anderson of Maud, Oklahoma; one brother, Richard Marx of Hephzibah, Georgia; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends. Ola was preceded in death by her parents, Benny Carl Marx and Viola (Johnson) Marx; by her first husband, Hughie Jordan; by her second husband Sammie Williams who died in November of 1996; 3 brothers, Carl Marx, Stanley Marx and Benny Marx; 3 sisters, Dorothy Jackson, Edith Boren, and Lorene Stalnaker. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma with Rev. Butch Bradley officiating the service.
