Longtime Seminole resident Mary “Beth” Plumlee Self passed away on Friday, October 2, 2009 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 61. Beth was born on June 3, 1948, in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Charlie and Lillian (Willis) Plumlee. She graduated from New Lima High School and was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Letha, Oklahoma. She was the owner and operator of Beth’s Hair World for over 30 years. She did charity work for Muscular Dystrophy and Lupus Organizations for many years. She married Paul Self on April 15, 1992 and he survives her of the home. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Paul Self of the home, son and daughter-in-law: Paul and Bekah Plumlee of Konawa, Oklahoma, brother, Melvin and Torild Plumlee of Seminole and Betty “Charlene” and Jimmy Wilson of Mountain Home, Arkansas, a special friend, Carol Williams, of Seminole and Val Jean Primo of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is also survived by grandchild June Raeanne Plumlee of Konawa and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lillian Plumlee and brother Ronnie Plumlee. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, 1001 North Milt Phillips Avenue, Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Jimmy Moreland officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be: Bret Isenhower, Jason Eason, Matt Gamel, Brad Self, Randy Williams and Royce Street.
