Mary Nelson

Mary Helen (Cruson) Nelson, 86 year old Seminole County, Oklahoma resident passed from this life on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born November 25, 1930 in Alix, Arkansas to parents Amuel A. Cruson and Mildred (Pyburn) Cruson. On April 27, 1948 Mary married George Nelson in San Diego, California.  The couple moved to Seminole County ten years ago from San Diego.  They were members of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Seminole. Mary had also worked as an office manager at "Christian High School" in San Diego, California before her retirement. Survivors include her husband of 69 years, George Nelson of the home; four sons, Mike Nelson of San Diego, California, Dave Nelson and his wife Debbie of Phoenix, Arizona, John Nelson of San Diego, California, Tom Nelson and his wife Kathy of San Diego, California; one daughter, Julie Campbell and her husband Dave of Seminole, Oklahoma; one brother, Jerry Cruson and his wife Linda of San Diego, California; one sister, Moggie Martinez and her husband Joe of San Diego, California; 9 grandchildren, Larry, Shaun, Carrie, Randy, Dustin, Jennifer, Aaron, Stacie and Jade; 27 great-grandchildren, Rachel, Jonathan, Jordan, Josiah, Rebekah, James, B.J., Noah, Gideon, Korpu, Abigail, Eden, Titus, Jubilee, Micah, Taylor, Brook, Jaycee, Trevor, Corbin, Stephen, Ellie, Presley, Cash, Xavier, D.J. and Alexis; Mary is also survived by a host of other family and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Amuel and Mildred Cruson. Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
