Mary Lavonne Goodgion, 64, Tecumseh, Oklahoma resident, died Saturday, July 9, 2016 at her home in Tecumseh. Mary was a longtime Maud, Oklahoma resident. She was born September 29, 1951 in Norman, Oklahoma to Garlin Lee Cheatwood and Dovie Armetia (Cooley) Cheatwood. Mary worked as CTSA Headstart in Shawnee, Oklahoma as a cook and housekeeping for many years. She was a member of the Citizen Pottawatomi tribe in Shawnee. She loved being with her family and she very much loved crocheting. She is survived by two sons; Aaron Goodgion of Tecumseh, Oklahoma and Billy Goodgion and his girlfriend Katrina Knobel of Shawnee, Oklahoma, two daughters; Alice Lincoln and her husband Chance and Amy Cheatwood, two brothers; Garlin Dale Cheatwood and his wife Wanda of Edmond, Oklahoma, Kenneth Lee Cheatwood and Angela of Seminole, Oklahoma, three sisters; Dorothy Wallace and her husband Monty of Maud, Oklahoma, Beverly Sanford of Paden, Oklahoma and Janna Calvert and her husband Jim of Maud, Oklahoma and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Belinda Jolene Cheatwood. Graveside services are planned for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at the Fairview Cemetery west of Maud, Oklahoma, with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
