Mary Josephine (Nichols) Finch

Mary Josephine (Nichols) Finch, age 83 and a longtime resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012 at St. Anthony Shawnee Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19th at Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Burial will follow at Konawa Cemetery.  Rev. Mona Fulks will officiate, and Rev. Pam Shirk will assist. Mary Jo was born on April 14, 1929 in Konawa to Jesse Ray Nichols and Winnie (Johnson) Nichols.  She graduated from Konawa High School and married Albert J. Finch on September 13, 1952 at the Pentecostal Church of God Parsonage in Konawa.  She was a member of the Church of God Church in Big Springs, Texas.  Mary Jo was a homemaker who loved painting, reading, and cooking.  Most of all she loved her family. Mary Jo leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband of sixty years, Albert J. Finch of the home; two sons, David and Sara Finch of Lewisville, Texas, and Layne and Dena Finch of Corpus Christi, Texas; one brother, Richard Nichols of Norman, Oklahoma; two sisters, June Neal of Konawa, Oklahoma, and Doris and Doyle Bartigis of Newalla, Oklahoma; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
