Mary Louise (Ripley) Cully

October 5, 1943 — December 9, 2016

Mary Louise (Ripley) Cully, age 73 and known to all as “Boots”, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at her home in Konawa, Oklahoma. Funeral services are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 14th at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa.  Larry Grass will officiate, and burial will follow at the Cully Family Cemetery (the old homestead located in Vamoosa). Casket bearers are Monty Stick, Clifton Brock, Jeremiah Cully, Dalton Gaines, Christopher Cully, and Stephan Cully.  Honorary bearers are Reece Cosar, Mikkah Cosar, Jacob Johnson, Nashoba Hill, Mark Joshua, and Floyd Johnson. Boots was born October 5, 1943 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Stella (Larney) and William Ripley.  She married Richmond J. Cully on May 12, 1961.  She enjoyed working in the yard, cooking, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Richmond Cully of the home; five daughters, Pamela Brock and husband, Clifton of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, Edwina McCulley and husband, Gary of Henryetta, Oklahoma, Vernie Cully of Holdenville, Oklahoma, Rocki Ricquel Cully of Konawa, Oklahoma, Levina (Cully) Stick and husband, Monty of Konawa, and one niece raised as her own daughter, Barbara Gaines and her husband, William of Ada, Oklahoma; two nephews raised as her own sons, Michael Cully and wife, Wilberta of Ada, and John Cully of Ada; one brother, Eugene Leetka of New Mexico; one sister, Elizabeth Coker of Seminole; and 21 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stella (Larney) and William Ripley; one sister, Shirley Walter; two nieces, Lisa Walter and Susan Walter.
