She was born July 16, 1913 in Baldhill, Oklahoma to parents Thomas Lowery and Mary Edin (Mallory) Dunagan.rnrnMary married Carl Evan Brown on November 2, 1932 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. In 1933 they moved to Seminole, Oklahoma.rnrnMrs. Brown was a homemaker who was a member of the Bowlegs First Baptist Church and was also active with the Eastern Star, Rebecca's and the L.A.P.M.
