Mary Jane (Johnson) Anthony

Mary Jane (Johnson) Anthony , age 93 and a resident of Ada, Oklahoma and a former resident of Konawa, Oklahoma pass away from this life Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at AMG Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday May 24, 2021 at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma.  Rev. Kenny Morrison will officiate. Casket bearers are Robert Huggins, Gabe LeFlore, Chris Reed, Danny Helms, Lisa Reese, and Ashley Ogans.  Honorary bearers are Terry Sanders, Michele Brown, Winona King, Jessica Atkeson, and Terrie Taylor.

Mary was born December 23, 1927 in Little Rock Arkansas to Sidney Franklin Johnson and Holey (Cummins) Johnson.  She graduated from high school and worked as a sales clerk for Wise Owl Thrift Store in Ada.  Mary attended Ada Baptist Temple Church in Ada.  She will be missed by everyone who has ever been fortunate enough to meet her.

She is survived by her sister, Melba Birchfield of Ada; and her adoring family at DJK Enterprises of Ada.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Anthony and one son, Bruce Anthony.
