Marvin Keesee, age 75, longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away November 4, 2019 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was born April 20, 1944 in Seminole to parents Henry William Keesee and Deathera (Posey) Keesee. He was a high school graduate of New Lima High School and served in the United States Army for 10 years. He married Hazel Napoleon on August 6, 1964. Marvin was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lima, Oklahoma where he served as a deacon for 25 years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He also served on the school board for 26 years. Marvin was liked by all who knew him. Marvin leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 55 years, Hazel of the home, daughter; Zina Kaye Reese and her husband Kelvin, grandchildren; Branish Reese and Nevin Reese and his wife and two great-grandchildren, brother; William Keesee and his wife Sandi and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Mayola and Irma Keesee and one brother; Charles Keesee. Funeral services for Marvin will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Frank Washington officiating, assisted by Rev. Guient and Rev. Bert. Burial will follow at Lima Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Carlos Mitchell, Eric Mitchell, Larry Richardson, Victor Hubbard, Kevin Posey and Edd Carr. Honorary bearers will be Bobby Napoleon and Tarzon Cudjoe. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
