Marty “Ray” Seckinger , age 67 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away Monday morning August 10, 2020 at Cornerstone Hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2020 at New Bethel Cemetery in Byng, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate.

Ray was born December 18, 1952 in Phoenix, Arizona to Leonard Seckinger and Ora (Vaughn) Seckinger.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, and he was a self-employed roofer.  Ray loved country and western music, and he enjoyed watching “Law & Order” on television.

He is survived by one son, Marty Ray Seckinger, Jr. and wife, Casey of Big Springs, Texas; three sisters, Martha Seckinger of Konawa, Brenda Seckinger of Stroud, Oklahoma, and Sheila Jones of Joplin, Missouri; and one grandson, Jacob Seckinger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Ora Seckinger; five brothers; and one sister, Linda Wall.
