Martha Jackson

Martha Elizabeth (Gallahon) Jackson passed away October 31, 2012. Born May 12, 1925 in Holdenville, Oklahoma she was 87 years young. She was preceded in death by parents Shirley James and Mary Elizabeth Gallahon. She was the last of six siblings; Margie Allene Callaway, Callie Mae Weaver, James Franklin Gallahon, Hattie Mae Massey and Mary Alice Gallahon preceeded her in death. She lost three husbands to death, Hugh J. Lester, “Buddy” Sherrin and Jim Jackson. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Wilson (Billy) of Florence, Alabama and son, Hugh J. Lester, Jr. (Linda Sue) of Bonaire, Georgia. Two step-daughters, Joy Gallion (Ernie) of Crystal River, Florida and Jamie Washington (Larry) of Sacramento, California. Eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary O. Wilburn officiating. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Seminole, Oklahoma.
