Martha Hoover

Martha Jean Hoover, 83, former Seminole resident died, Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at her home in Cherokee, Kansas. She was born on December 31, 1927 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Alvin Thomas and Dorthula (Likens) Scott. Martha was a longtime Insurance Clerk and bookkeeper and was a member of the Baptist Church. Martha married Glenn Gene Hoover in Seminole on June 8, 1946. Mr. Hoover survives her of the home in Cherokee, Kansas. She is also survived by four sons; Everett Leland Hoover of Mansfield, Texas, Richard Allen Hoover of Pineville, Louisiana, Michael Ward Hoover and James Edward Hoover both of Cherokee, Kansas along with one sister Mary Ellen Rafferty of Shawnee, Oklahoma and nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Little Cemetery north of Seminole, Oklahoma. Geary Sorrell will officiate at the service.
