Marsha Ann (Farmer) Hester

Marsha Ann (Farmer) Hester , age 72 and a resident of Purcell, Oklahoma passed away February 12, 2024 at Brookwood Skilled Nursing and Therapy of Oklahoma City.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Union Hill Baptist Church in Purcell.  Nate McConathy will officiate, and cremation is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma.  Honorary casket bearers are Dede Page, Phyliss Wells, Joyce Sumner, and Tamera Hopkins.

Marsha was born August 10, 1951 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Theo Pete Farmer and Florence Mae (Sewell) Farmer.  She graduated from Purcell High School in 1969.  She was a member of the Purcell Territorial Round-up Club, Union Hill Baptist Church, and FHA 4-H Clubs.  She married HD Hester on July 7, 1981, and they lived in Choctaw, Oklahoma for thirty-two years.  She loved horses and barrel racing, crafts, and making greeting cards, and scrapbooking.  Marsha worked as an Oklahoma City Police Dispatcher, and as a Clerk for the Oklahoma City Water Department.  She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, HD on tour bus trips.  Marsha also enjoyed showing Jack Russell dogs and bore goats.

She is survived by her husband, HD Hester, and one sister, Connie Sue Wollenberg and husband Everett of Lindsay, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theo Pete Farmer and Florence Mae Farmer.
