Marjorie Lester

Longtime Seminole resident Marjorie B. Lester passed away on March 28, 2010 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 86. She was born on February 22, 1924 in Healdton, Oklahoma to Elias Preston Nickens and Deloree (Penney) Nickens. She was a nurse’s aide and homemaker. She was a member of God’s Assembly Church in Seminole and was a prizewinner at the County Fair for her cakes and candy. She is survived by two sons; Jay A. Lester and companion Charlotte of Oilton, Oklahoma and Jeremy Robert Huber of New York, two daughters; DeeAnn Gurley and Husbnd Roy of Seminole, Oklahoma and SuzzetteWilliamson and husband Tommy of Ardmore, Oklahoma. Nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren also survive her. She is preceded in death by her parents, her 1st husband Robert E. Huber the father of Jeremy, Dee Ann and Suzzettee, her 2nd husband, J.A. Lester,the father of Jay A. Lester,  two sisters and a son-in-law, Jim. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 31, 2010 in the Swearingen Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gus Monreal officiating.  Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada, Oklahoma.     Funeral Information: March 31, 2010, 2:00 PM Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel located at 1001 N.
