Marie Long

Marie Long, 87, longtime Konawa, Oklahoma resident, died Thursday morning, December 28, 2017 at her home in Konawa, Oklahoma. Marie was born on March 23, 1930 in Konawa, Oklahoma to Russell Payne and Flora Jane (Owens) Payne. She moved to California several years ago and moved back to Konawa in 1969. Marie was a member of the Asher Assembly of God Church and a Medicine Aide for over 13 years, in the healthcare industry in nursing homes. She married Marvin Long on June 25, 1949 in Bakersfield, California; they were married for 54 years.  He preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Danny Long and Mark Long and three daughters; Kathy Everhart and her husband Arthur, Donna Scott and her husband Randall and  Linda Munholland, and twelve grandchildren; Richard, Russell, and Andera  Rippy, Samantha, Timothy, and  Mathew Munholland, Cristina Marie McMillan, Jonathan and Jeremy Long, Ethan and Austin Long, and Josh Randell Scott. And several great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma, with Lester Robbins officiating. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery, east of Konawa, Oklahoma. Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa, Oklahoma is in charge of arrangements.
