Margie Greenmyer

Margie Faye Greenmyer, 84 Margie Faye Greenmyer, a Seminole, Oklahoma resident for the past 45 years, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in Seminole at the age of 84. Margie was born July 9, 1932 in Brooken, Oklahoma to parents, John Houston Pridgen and Bonnie Mae (Graham) Pridgen. Margie married John Henry Greenmyer, Jr. on June 20, 1950 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. They moved to Seminole from Spokane, Washington after John’s retirement from the United States Air Force. Margie was a homemaker and a member of the Highland Free Will Baptist Church of Seminole, Oklahoma. Margie is survived by one son, Col. John Greenmyer III and his wife Maribel of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Deborah Lynn Greenmyer of Yukon, Oklahoma and Betty Ann Thomas of Seminole, Oklahoma; two sisters, Ruby Bidwell of Norman, Oklahoma and Mary Parker of Yuma, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Rebecca Remo, Travis Hughes, Patricia Greenmyer, Daniel Greenmyer, James Thomas, Marcus Thomas, Dustin Hughes; five great grandchildren, Kendal Remo, Gage Remo, Travis Remo, Keevan Hill and Alexandria Thomas. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, John Houston Pridgen and Bonnie Mae Pridgen; her husband, John H. Greenmyer Jr., who passed away on October 26, 2012; grandson, Dustin Hughes; sisters, Violet Wright and Vivian Henson. A Memorial service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
