Margreta “Margie” Deere, 67 year old lifelong Seminole resident passed from this life on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born December 3, 1947 in Erlangen, Germany to parents, Elisabeth Schmidt and Johann Georg Schmidt. In September, 1973 she married Larry Gene Deere in Seminole, Oklahoma. Margie worked as a bartender and a homemaker. She had worked at Jerry Mack’s, Serg’s and Broadway bars. She was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Larry Deere of Seminole, Oklahoma; one son, Jason Deere and his wife Jennifer Deere of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren, Rickita, Derick, Lil Jason, Kaptian, Bethany and Allison; one great-grandchild, Isabella; and a host of other family and friends. Margie is preceded in death by her parents; by one daughter, Jamie Deere-Marvin who died in 2008; and by one grandson, Baby Jumper who died in 2004. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 30, 2015 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. Rev. Sandy Harjo and Rev. Rick Deer will officiate the service. Casket Bearers will be: Steve Yeager, Greg Hardin, Shane Pebworth, George Washington, Bill Elkins and Stan Andrew. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
