Margaret McSperitt

Margaret Mae McSperitt, 78, longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, died Thursday December 7, 2017 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Margaret was born on January 13, 1939 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Ben Garlen Smith and Ada Mae (Turner) Smith. Margaret worked with her family for most of her life in the family’s dairy farming business in Seminole, Grandfield, Oklahoma and Marlow, Oklahoma. Margaret also worked in the parts department at Wrangler for 10 years. She loved quilting, sewing, cooking ,camping, loved to fish, go bowling, working in her yard and garden and spending time with her family. Margaret married Paul McSperitt on September 19, 1954 in Carnegie, Oklahoma, he preceded her in death in 2014. Margaret is survived by her two sons; Danny McSperitt and his wife Ann of Seminole, Oklahom and Bruce McSperitt and his wife Sandy of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, one brother Jackie Smith and his wife Linda of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and her grandchildren, Scot, Jessie, Coty, Ryan and Chris and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery, north of Seminole, Oklahoma. Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma is in charge of funeral arrangements.
