Margaret (Harris) Northcott Hardin, 94 year-old long time Seminole resident passed from this life Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Seminole Estates Nursing Home at the age of 94. She was born August 19, 1913 in Willis, Oklahoma to parents Royal Ernest and Lillie Mae (Nolen) Harris. She graduated from Bowlegs High School and went on to marry Robert Lee Northcott on January 7, 1933. He preceded her in death on November 30, 1962.rnrnMargaret later married Bert Hardin on August 12, 1983. She worked as a saleslady for Curry Hardin Furniture for many years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and a past mother advisor for the Rainbow girls. Margaret was the ultimate caregiver. She always put others needs before her own. Her greatest joy was her family; no greater teacher, confidant or friend could be found. She welcomed everyone with grace and compassion.rnrn?Bitty Maw? will be missed everyday by her eight sons and daughters-in-law: Don and Erma Northcott of Seminole, Oklahoma; Ed Northcott of Mead, Oklahoma; Bob and Richenda Northcott of Bowlegs, Oklahoma; Richard and Sharon Northcott of Seminole, Oklahoma; Tom and Terri Northcott of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Edward and Suzanne Hardin of Seminole, Oklahoma; Joe and Nancy Hardin of Seminole, Oklahoma and Dr. Walter Hardin of Washington State. Four daughters and sons-in-law: Sybil Turner of Mead, Oklahoma; Judy and Lee Oates of LaPorte, Texas; Janie and Willie Owens of LaPorte, Texas; Frieda and Frank Dunlap of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Other survivors include one sister-in-law, Aloha Harris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; thirty-one grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; eighteen great-great grandchildren and a host of other family and dear friends.rnrnMargaret is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Lee Nothcott (Nov. 30, 1962), husband Bert Hardin (June 16, 1999), one daughter, Linda Suzanne Northcott and one grandson, Kenneth Bush.rnrnFuneral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 7, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Seminole with Rev. Gary Wilburn officiating.
