Madge Louise (Rodden) Anders, age 83 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Heritage Village Nursing Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2015, at Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa. Mike McGaha will officiate and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery, east of Konawa. Pallbearers are Jeff Watters, Gary Bible, Byron Bible, Floyd Brown, Donny Fisher, and Ronnie Richardson. Honorary pallbearers are V.L. Watters, David Green, Marty Green, David Green Jr., Cody Green, Sam Anders, Chris Hays, and Andrew Scott. Madge was born July 23, 1932, in Vamoosa, Oklahoma to Arville Chester Rodden and Esther Lee (Owen) Rodden. Madge grew up and attended school in Vamoosa. She married Samuel Albert Anders September 15, 1947 in Ada, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, and she enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening. Madge was a seamstress and designer for Vogue and Cottontails Clothing Companies. She is survivied by one daughter, Carma Jane Green of Konawa; one sister, Deborah Hays and husband, Chris of Skiatook, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arville and Esther Lee Rodden; husband, Samuel Anders; one son, Sammy Anders; one great grandson, Jake Pierce; and two sisters, Alice Watters and Jean Jackman.
