Mable Noma Works, 81, longtime Maud, Oklahoma resident, died Monday, May 23, 2016 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Mable was born on April 15, 1935 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Vester William Henderson and Ruby Roe (Porter) Henderson. Mable was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma. She married Henry David Works on December 31, 1954 in Seminole, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on March 31, 1990. She is survived by six daughters; Ruby Womack and her husband Gerald of McLoud, Oklahoma, Brenda Votaw and her husband James of Maud, Oklahoma, Judy Wheeler and her husband Johnny of Seminole, Oklahoma, Margie Campbell and her husband John of Maud, Oklahoma, Lavonna Works of Maud, Oklahoma and Ladonna Works of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, her longtime friend Joe Stackhouse of Shawnee, Oklahoma, seventeen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry Works, three brothers Don, Gail and Fred Henderson and one sister Louella Dunagan. Viewing will be at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday May 27, 2016 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, in Seminole, Oklahoma, with Rev. Butch Bradley, officiating. Burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be, James Votaw, Brian Brewer, John Campbell, David Conatser, Richard Southern and Keith Hamas. Honorary Bearers will be her grandsons.
