Mabel Marie Faulkner, 86, passed from this earthly life on Sunday, February 7, 2016, in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Dewey Lee Faulkner. Left to cherish her memory are; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Melissa Faulkner of Hooker, Oklahoma; daughter and son-in-law, Vera and Don Hale of Eufaula, Oklahoma; daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Jim Storts of Knoxville, Tennessee; special sister-in-law, Virginia Griffith and husband Bob, of Seminole, Oklahoma; her 10 grandchildren; Dana Faulkner of Spearman, Texas, Allyssa Gutierrez of Hooker, Oklahoma, Jonathan Faulkner of Guymon, Oklahoma, Joshua and Andrew Faulkner of Alva, Oklahoma, Donnie Hale of Maud, Oklahoma, Tina Tanyan of Seminole, Oklahoma, Jason Storts, Tammy Lopez and Tonya Toth all of Knoxville, Tennessee, 16 great grandchildren; Mariah Mitchell, Zach Saylor, Roman Rodriguez, Emily and Jonathan Gutierrez, Tyler Johnson, Amanda Smith, Alex and Caleb Storts, Dominic and Manny Lopez, Ethan, Anna, Caroline, Nicholas and Lydia Toth and 11 great great grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews and friends. Mabel’s life was completely changed in 1952. Dewey’s aunt, Zelma May Daniels, invited her to a service at the Church of God, in Maud, Oklahoma, where she gave her life to God and became a new creature in Christ Jesus. Pastor Dan Kasper was her faithful pastor for nine years in Maud, where she loved worshipping with her precious church family. The last two years of Mabel’s life were lived and enjoyed in Knoxville, Tennessee, in the loving care of her daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Jim. Pastor Robin Thames was her faithful pastor in Knoxville, where she enjoyed worshipping with the people of God, just as she had in Maud, the 61 years she was there. Mabel always had a smile for a friend and stranger alike. She was a woman of great faith in God. Her love for others was clearly seen in all she did. A celebration of Mabel’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M., February 13, 2016, at the Church of God, in Maud, Oklahoma at the corner of Highway 9A and Main Street. The family will greet friends and church members at 9:15 A.M., Saturday at the Church of God. Private family burial services will follow at Cummings cemetery in Maud. In Lieu of flowers, Mabel asked that donations be made in memory of her to the Church of God Building Fund, sent to Pastor Dan Kasper, P.O. Box 190, Maud, Oklahoma, 74854.
